More from the Met

I failed to catch much detail on this Colt pistol but it was pretty incredible with tons of gold inlay. I did get some better shots of some intricate S&W revolvers though which I'll get to at some point. It's tough to shoot through glass and the lighting was very tricky...








Other cool shots of a statue in the big courtyard and a mosaic stained glass fountain.

I have been told many times by a gunsmith/collector that ounce for ounce the most valuable material (compared to gold or gems) was original Colt finish.
