Now that is just too awesome. I've seen similar sword/knife combos, but never a variation like that. Talk about a multi-tool; knife, gun, and...calendar? Now if you can just make one of those key chain sized...;)
The wheelock was a design with a flaw of not being waterproof. Interesting concept piece.
I guess to protect the wealthy owner who would not be able to use the wheelock in damp weather or a rainy day! Only a wealthy owner could afford such an elaborate piece of craftsmanship!
The invention of the percussion cap (later) permitted firearm(s) to fire in the rain/damp....
