I was almost expecting the finger of God to come through at any moment.

Peter,
7D or 5Dmk2? Lens?

Sometimes you get shown the light,
in the strangest of places if you look at it right!

It was the 5dmkii with 35mm prime. ;)

...35 prime , ya dog! Knowing that is like kicking sand in my eyes!
That is the piece I have been thinking of getting by trading some Hasselblad glass that I love!

Are you still disappointed with your 7D?

Hehe! Oh it is a beauty alright. Great landscape lens and good in low light.

I mostly use the 5dmkii. I'll be dusting off the 7D shortly though and start taking the big glass out. I need to slow down a bit in the shop before I keel over. :D

Right, to answer your question, still working it out. It has some very nice features to it, no doubt about it. But I have seen some lines in certain shots, particularly water background scenes. Not sure if it is me or the camera but I'm inclined to blame user error first...

Hummm..Really. Not sure what that could be. Do take the time to get the latest firmware from Canon's website, perhaps that may help. Every camera has its quarks and strengths, and in the digital world there are many variables as you know. Many firmware updates are posted at dpreview.com when they are released.
None the less, the images look good!

...beautiful day here along the coast today..!

Fantastic shots! I love doing weather photography. Haven't seen a good thunderstorm to take pictures of in ages though.
